Terre de Provence
A name that resonates with obviousness, a promise of something different…
A tribute to Frédéric Mistral, Nobel Prize winner in Literature for his work “Mirèio” (Mireille) and founding member of the Félibrige movement.
A promise to pass on Provençal culture, initiated by our meeting with Claudette Ocelli, our patron, the first woman to become a Majorale of the Félibrige.
A welcoming place for sharing, in the land of cicadas, olive trees, true lavender, and the southern sun.
We are committed to sharing the human and cultural values that drive us within our hotel: sharing, knowledge, gratitude, generosity, kindness, availability, tolerance, responsibility… all these qualities that lead us toward self-esteem and personal fulfillment.
in action
At the Balnea Spa, the slippers are made of natural biosourced jute.
We make a pre-authorization of 110,00€, blocked but not debited on your credit card.
The vast majority of our employees are multi-skilled. This allows them to occupy several functions within the establishment. In addition, the entire team is involved in our services, for example, this quest for versatility proves the self-sacrifice and solidarity of our employees every day to offer you the best quality of service.
Well-being and respect
We have chosen to offer you the greatest comfort while taking into account the respect of the environment. Thus, most of our equipment in the room is made of recycled and biodegradable materials, the bathrooms are equipped with water-saving taps and our cosmetic products are European EcoLabel.

Generosity
The generosity and sharing of the company’s resources are extended outside the company walls with “l’histoire des Hirondelles” and children disadvantaged by life.
Since 2015, two cars signed Terre de Provence participate, each year, in the ice race of the circuit of Serre-Chevalier. If the first one is a double winner, the second one allows the children to take the place of co-pilot and to forget for a few moments their difficult condition of life. Maybe they will find support to start towards a better world?
Tranquility
To guarantee your peace of mind and comfort during your stay, we have chosen to prevent any possible nuisance.

to the hotel
As soon as you step through the gate, you enter a Provençal haven, a world apart from the hotel’s surroundings. Numerous lavender bushes and some fifteen olive trees, several of them centuries old, encircle the buildings.
From the stone walls and pebbles of Châteauneuf-du-Pape to the Place Jeanne de Flandreysy, the central fountain, the Félibrige star, and the bell ringing on Saint John’s Day, the entire atmosphere of Provençal life is remarkably brought to life by our artists and master craftsmen.
Upon entering, you cannot miss the large stained-glass window “Vincent and Mireille,” a major work by Marcel Bracq. You will also discover Apt earthenware, a private collection of the Faucon family, and the santons (Provençal figurines) from Maison Fouque, including a unique and exceptional terracotta piece depicting Frédéric Mistral, which gave its name to our salon.
